Cave Creek
Cave Creek is a small, 37.7 square mile town in northern Maricopa County, Arizona known for its cowboy history, outdoor activities, and live music. It’s located in the desert foothills near Phoenix, with Scottsdale to the southeast, Carefree to the east, and Phoenix to the southwest.
Cave Creek was established in 1870 as a ranching and mining community and incorporated in 1986. The town is named after a cave next to a creek, and it still tries to maintain its Western heritage with old west bars and Frontier Town, which preserves the old west.
Cave Creek is surrounded by mountain views, including Elephant Mountain to the north and Black Mountain to the south.
